Murex Engineer - Linux/System Administrator

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Murex Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Murex environments across development, testing, and production. This role demands a strong understanding of Linux administration, Java application management, and Control-M (or similar scheduling tool) for effective job scheduling. The candidate must possess expertise in automation using Shell Scripting and Python, along with practical experience in Git version control. Additionally, basic knowledge of SQL queries, Geneos monitoring, and AWS cloud services is highly desirable. Responsibilities : Murex Environment Management : - Manage and maintain Murex environments across development, testing, and production stages. - Ensure system stability, performance optimization, and security of Murex platforms. - Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of Murex applications and related components. - Troubleshoot and resolve Murex-related issues promptly and efficiently. Linux Administration : - Perform day-to-day Linux server administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and security hardening. - Manage user accounts, file systems, and network configurations on Linux servers. Java Application Management : - Administer and manage Java applications running within the Murex environment. - Monitor Java application performance and troubleshoot issues related to JVM, memory management, and application servers. Automation and Scripting : - Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automating routine tasks and system administration processes. - Utilize Python for automation of Murex-related tasks, data processing, and scripting. Job Scheduling (Control-M or similar) : - Design, implement, and manage job schedules using Control-M (or any other enterprise scheduling tool). - Ensure timely and accurate execution of batch processes and data transfers. - Troubleshoot job scheduling issues and optimize job performance. Version Control (Git) : - Utilize Git for version control of scripts, configurations, and code. - Manage code repositories, branches, and merge requests. Troubleshooting and Support : - Provide technical support to developers, testers, and end-users regarding Murex-related issues. - Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to Murex applications and infrastructure. - Basic Networking trouble shooting Required Skills and Experience (Must Have) : - Proven experience in managing Murex environments. - Strong proficiency in Linux administration. - Expertise in Shell scripting for automation and system administration. - Experience in Java application management. - Proficiency in Git version control. - Solid understanding of Python for scripting and automation. - Experience with Control-M or similar enterprise job scheduling tools. Desired Skills and Experience (Good to Have) : - Basic knowledge of SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting. - Experience with Geneos monitoring tools. - Experience with AWS cloud services. - Basic understanding of Networking.
