Associate Director - Embedded Hardware Architecture

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop embedded hardware architectures for UAV systems - Lead the selection of microcontrollers, sensors, and other electronic components - Oversee creation of detailed schematics and PCB layouts - Optimize designs for power efficiency, size, and weight constraints - Ensure seamless integration of hardware and firmware/application software - Develop and implement testing procedures for hardware systems - Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team Key Requirements : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field - 18 years of experience in embedded hardware design, with at least 5 years in a senior role - Proven experience in designing embedded systems for UAVs, aircraft, automotive systems, or other relevant applications - Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures, sensor integration, and communication protocols - Deep understanding of microcontroller peripherals and their applications - Experience with diverse hardware platforms from microcontroller families STM, TI, etc to high performance AI compute hardware - Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools - Solid understanding of EMI/EMC considerations in embedded systems - Familiarity with relevant industry regulations FAA for aviation, MISRA for automotive (ref:hirist.tech)
