Kafka Developer - Java

We are seeking a skilled Kafka Developer with a strong Java background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka. Responsibilities : Develop and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka. Design and implement Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing applications. Ensure seamless integration of Kafka with Java-based microservices and other enterprise applications. Optimize Kafka performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for reliability and scalability. Manage Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, and brokers to ensure high availability. Work closely with DevOps to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for Kafka. Ensure data security, schema evolution, and compliance with best practices in distributed messaging. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and resilient event-driven architectures. Requirements : Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks). Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry. Experience in designing real-time data pipelines and working with event-driven architectures. Good understanding of message serialization formats (Avro, JSON, Protobuf, etc. ). Knowledge of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability principles. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) for Kafka deployment. Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar). Good to Have : Experience with the Confluent Kafka ecosystem. Knowledge of Reactive programming and Microservices architecture. Exposure to Big Data technologies (Spark, Flink, Hadoop, etc. ). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc. ). (ref:hirist.tech)
