Job Summary : Talent Worx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer specializing in API testing to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our RESTful APIs through comprehensive testing strategies and automation. You will work closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the delivery of high-quality Responsibilities : Test Strategy & Execution : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for REST APIs, covering smoke, functional, regression, and integration testing. - Ensure thorough testing of API endpoints, data integrity, and performance. Test Automation Framework Development : - Design, create, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools like Postman and Newman. - Implement and optimize test scripts for efficient and repeatable testing. Collaboration & Communication : - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify and address API issues. - Communicate test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders. Bug Management & Tracking : - Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using bug tracking systems. - Ensure timely resolution of identified defects. DevOps Tools & Processes : - Manage testing processes using GitHub, JIRA, and other DevOps tools. - Contribute to the improvement of the CI/CD pipeline integration. Cloud Testing : - Work with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to manage testing environments. - Ensure API testing aligns with cloud infrastructure and deployments. Quality Assurance & Standards : - Ensure all testing activities are conducted according to established standards and methodologies. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices. Code Reviews & Feedback : - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective. Technology & Industry Trends : - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in API testing and Skills & Qualifications : Experience : 5-7 years of experience in API testing, with hands-on experience in REST API JavaScript Proficiency : Strong proficiency in API Testing Tools : Hands-on experience with API testing and automation tools like Postman and Functional Testing : Experience in functional test creation and test Version Control & Project Management : Understanding of version control systems (GitHub) and project management tools Agile/Scrum : Experience working in Agile/Scrum development API Lifecycle : Understanding of API lifecycle management and testing Qualifications : CI/CD : Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) Testing Tools : Experience with other testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Rest Programming Languages : Basic understanding of programming languages such as Cloud Technologies : Experience with AWS cloud Skills : - REST API Testing - Postman & Newman - JavaScript - GitHub - JIRA - AWS (Preferred) - CI/CD Pipelines (Preferred) - Rest Assured Attributes : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
