Microsoft Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant

Job Title : Microsoft Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant Location : India (remote) Job Description : Responsibilities : - Engage with clients to understand their business requirements, processes, and objectives. - Conduct workshops and requirement gathering sessions to document detailed functional specifications. - Design and configure Microsoft Dynamics NAV modules to meet client-specific business needs across areas such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Warehouse Management. - Develop and document functional design specifications, including customizations, reports, and integrations. - Configure and customize Dynamics NAV based on gathered requirements, including setting up user roles, permissions, workflows, and data structures. - Collaborate with technical consultants and developers to design and test custom solutions, integrations, and reports. - Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients to ensure the solution meets their requirements. - Provide end-user training and create user documentation for the implemented Dynamics NAV solution. - Provide ongoing support to clients, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving functional challenges. - Stay up-to-date with the latest features and functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and related technologies. - Participate in the full project lifecycle, from planning and implementation to go-live and post implementation support. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions using Dynamics NAV capabilities. - Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and client satisfaction. - Potentially participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal development. Technical Skills (Functional Focus with some Technical Understanding) : - Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV architecture, modules, and functionalities (including classic client and Role-Tailored Client). - Experience with configuring and customizing various Dynamics NAV modules. - Familiarity with Dynamics NAV development tools and concepts (C/AL, AL, object designer, dataports, reports) is a plus. - Understanding of database concepts and SQL Server. - Experience with data migration and data cleansing activities. - Knowledge of integration methods with other systems (APIs, web services). - Familiarity with reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI. - Understanding of security and user role management within Dynamics NAV. Functional Skills : - Deep understanding of core business processes across various functional areas (finance, supply chain, sales, manufacturing). - Ability to analyze and map business requirements to Dynamics NAV functionalities. - Experience in documenting business processes and functional specifications. - Strong understanding of data flows and system integrations. - Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for clients. Process Skills : - Experience with project implementation methodologies (Sure Step, Agile). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively. - Experience with testing and quality assurance processes. - Ability to follow defined project plans and timelines. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant. - Proven track record of successful Dynamics NAV implementations and support engagements. - Experience working directly with clients in a consulting role. - Microsoft Dynamics NAV certifications are a plus.
