Manual Tester - Software Quality Assurance

Job Description : Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. - Execute test cases across all phases of the software testing life cycle (STLC). - Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, compatibility, and user acceptance testing. - Conduct compatibility testing across different web browsers and devices to ensure a consistent user experience. - Identify, document, and report software defects accurately and in a timely manner using a defect tracking system. - Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Clearly communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks to the team. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. - Maintain a good understanding of the application under test and its underlying technologies, including basic J2EE concepts. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role. - Good understanding of software testing concepts, principles, and methodologies. - Experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Hands-on experience in executing test cases and managing test cycles. - Demonstrated experience in testing web applications. - Strong experience in performing compatibility testing across various browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (desktops, tablets, mobile phones). - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps). - Basic understanding of programming languages and concepts, particularly J2EE. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. - Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple teams. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Should be a good team player.
