Job Description : Position : Power BI Developer Location : Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai (India) Experience : 3 - 6 Years Company : Talent Worx (Recruiting for a Leading Big 4 Firm) Job Summary : We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our client, a leading Big 4 firm. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in data modeling and visualization, and experience working with various data sources. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. - Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations. - Ensure reports are accurate, efficient, and meet business requirements. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Understand business needs and translate them into effective Power BI solutions. - Develop and optimize data models in Power BI. Utilize DAX for complex calculations, data manipulation, and performance optimization. Ensure data integrity and accuracy through effective data modeling. Integrate data from various sources, including SQL Server databases, Azure services, Excel files, and REST APIs. - Develop and maintain data connections and data refresh processes. - Optimize Power BI report performance for large datasets and complex calculations. - Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues. - Implement best practices for data loading and query optimization. - Create and maintain technical documentation for developed reports and dashboards. - Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI tools. - Ensure knowledge transfer and empower users to leverage Power BI capabilities. - Apply understanding of data warehousing concepts to design efficient data models. - Collaborate with ETL developers to ensure data quality and consistency. - Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development. Technical Skills : - Reports, Dashboards, Data Modeling, DAX, Power Query (M). - SQL Server, Azure (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage), Excel, REST APIs. - Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema). - Knowledge of ETL processes and tools. - Basic understanding of data visualization best practices. - Proficiency in Git. Required Qualifications : Educational Background : - Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role. Power BI Expertise : - Strong knowledge of Power BI, including data visualization and reporting best practices. - Proficiency in DAX and M query language. Database Knowledge : - Familiarity with database management systems like SQL Server. Analytical Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication Skills : - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
