Senior Technical Consultant - SAP ABAP Module

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : ABAP Development : - Design, develop, test, and implement ABAP programs, reports, forms, and enhancements to meet client business needs. - Perform debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP ABAP code. - Create custom ABAP solutions for SAP modules including but not limited to SAP MM, SD, FI, CO, WM, and HCM. System Customization & Configuration : - Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Implement custom solutions and modifications in SAP systems, including enhancements to SAP standard functionality. SAP Integration : - Lead or support integration projects involving SAP and third-party systems, ensuring smooth data flow and operational efficiency. - Implement middleware solutions and work with IDocs, BAPIs, and other integration methods. Performance Optimization : - Analyze the performance of custom and standard ABAP programs, optimize code for performance, and reduce system resource consumption. - Proactively monitor and manage system performance issues and provide solutions for improvements. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer : - Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and system configurations. - Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members and clients as needed. Support & Troubleshooting : - Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ABAP-related issues and enhancements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues, both in production and during upgrades. Upgrade & Migration Support : - Support system upgrades and migration projects by ensuring compatibility of custom developments and preparing necessary adjustments. Compliance & Best Practices : - Ensure that all ABAP developments adhere to SAP best practices and industry standards. - Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and ABAP advancements to recommend improvements. Required Skills and Qualifications : Experience : - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with a proven track record of successful project deliveries. - In-depth knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, HCM, and WM. - Experience in integrating SAP systems with third-party applications (e.g., through Web services, IDocs, RFCs, etc.). Technical Skills : - Expertise in ABAP, ABAP OO (Object-Oriented Programming), ABAP Web Dynpro, SAP Fiori, and SAPUI5. - Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Business Suite, and the SAP S/4HANA environment. - Hands-on experience with SAP enhancement techniques, BADI, User Exits, and SAPscript/Smartforms. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills : - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on resolving technical issues quickly and effectively. - Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SAP systems. Communication Skills : - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications : - SAP ABAP certification is highly preferred. - Any additional SAP certifications or relevant technical qualifications will be a plus. Preferred Skills : - Experience with SAP S/4HANA. - Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 application development. - Experience with SAP HANA database and its features. Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - Master's degree or equivalent certifications would be advantageous.
