Automation Tester - Regression Testing

Position : Automation Tester (Python or Java) Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Experience : 3 - 5 Years Company : Talent Worx (Recruiting for a Leading Client) Job Summary : We are seeking a proactive and skilled Automation Tester with a strong foundation in either Python or Java to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through the development and execution of automated test scripts. You will work closely with development and product teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using either Python or Java. - - Implement and manage test automation frameworks to streamline testing efforts. - Develop and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. - Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to understand testing requirements and design effective test strategies. - Execute automated and manual test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. - Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on test execution. - Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. - Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing. - Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.) to enable continuous testing. - Configure and maintain automated test environments. - Ensure smooth and efficient test execution within the CI/CD pipeline. - Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and maintainability of code. - Provide feedback on test quality and suggest improvements to testing processes. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing standards and best practices. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective teamwork. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives). - Provide clear and concise test reports and status updates. - Contribute to team knowledge sharing by documenting testing processes and best practices. - Stay updated on the latest testing tools and technologies. - Proactively identify and implement improvements to testing processes and tools. Requirements : Experience : - 3-5 years of experience in Automation Testing. Technical Skills : - Proficiency in either Python or Java for test automation. - Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. - Experience with version control tools such as Git. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.). - Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) is a plus. - Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries is a plus. Functional Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to understand complex systems and business requirements. - Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality. Soft Skills : - Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
