Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Job Title : Senior Network Engineer (7-10 Years Experience) Location : Bangalore Work Type : Work from Office Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with 7-10 years of expertise in Routing, Switching, and Wireless technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in enterprise network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, particularly in Cisco and HPE Aruba devices. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the network infrastructure for our clients across various environments, including enterprise, retail, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities : - Routing & Switching : Expertly manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure using Cisco and HPE Aruba routers, switches, and wireless devices. - Wireless Networking : Implement, configure, and troubleshoot wireless infrastructures, with a focus on HPE Aruba WAPs and Cisco Meraki solutions. - Network Security : Handle firewall and load balancer configurations and troubleshooting. - Network Cabling & Physical Installation : Oversee passive network cabling and the physical installation of networking devices. - Device Life-Cycle Management : Manage firmware upgrades, patch updates, and device life-cycle. - IP Addressing : Expertise in IP addressing schemas and their implementation. - Network Design : Participate in designing network infrastructures, including documentation and network topology creation using tools like Visio, Lucid, and Draw.io. - Client Communication : Direct interaction with clients, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving capabilities. - Collaboration : Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to address client needs. - ITIL Processes : Experience in all ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management. - Shift Flexibility : Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends and off-hours, to accommodate client maintenance Skills & Experience : - Expertise in Routing & Switching : Deep knowledge of Layer 2 (VLAN, STP, Trunking, Stacking) and Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). - Hands-on Experience : Proven experience in configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching protocols, including Cisco Routers and Switches, and HPE Aruba Switches. - Wireless Experience : Strong hands-on experience in configuring and managing wireless infrastructure, particularly HPE Aruba Wireless Access Points and Meraki Wireless. - Network Design : Experience in designing networks, with the ability to visualize network architectures using design tools. - Certifications : Cisco or HPE Aruba professional certifications in Routing & Switching or Wireless. - Excellent Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients and team members. - Shift Work : Flexibility to work during weekends, off-hours, or in shifts when required. Preferred Skills : - Aruba Central : Experience with Aruba Central for managing wired and wireless devices. - Tools for Network Design : Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Lucid, and Draw.io for creating network designs and : - 7-10 years of experience in a network engineering role, with significant exposure to Cisco and HPE Aruba technologies. - Hands-on expertise in network implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Cisco or HPE Aruba certifications are a plus.
