They are seeking a knowledgeable SAP BASIS Consultant to join their team and manage their clients' SAP landscapes. Job Summary: As an SAP BASIS Consultant, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of SAP systems. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of SAP environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. Your expertise in SAP architecture and BASIS administration will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of SAP landscapes. Responsibilities : - Administer and maintain the SAP landscape, including installation, configuration, and upgrades of SAP systems. - Perform system backups, recovery, and transport management to ensure data integrity and system reliability. - Implement and manage system monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and resolve issues. - Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of SAP applications. - Perform performance tuning and optimization of SAP systems, including database administration and application server configuration. - Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. - Lead troubleshooting efforts for system issues, analyzing logs and using diagnostic tools to resolve problems. - Provide expert support for SAP system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations. - Develop and implement preventative measures to minimize system downtime. - Implement security policies and user roles, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements. - Perform security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks. - Manage user access and authorizations, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties. - Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. - Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support system integration and data migration activities. - Document upgrade and migration processes and procedures. - Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. - Generate and analyze system reports to provide insights into system performance and utilization. - Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and best practices documentation. - Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support system integration and performance tuning. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status and issues. - Provide guidance and training to team members on SAP BASIS best practices. Experience : - A minimum of 6 years of experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant. Technical Skills : - Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, with hands-on experience in SAP installations, upgrades, and migrations. - Experience with SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and various SAP modules. - Proficiency in performing system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. - Experience with database administration (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server). - Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) and virtualization technologies. - Experience with transport management and change control processes. Functional Skills : - Understanding of SAP business processes and functional modules. - Ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions.
