Senior Android Developer - Java/Kotlin

Role Overview : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance Android applications, ensuring a seamless user experience, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers. Must-Have Skills : - Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java - Extensive experience with Android SDK and Jetpack components - Knowledge of MVVM architecture and dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger/Hilt) - Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations - Strong understanding of Android UI/UX design principles - Experience with version control systems (Git) - Proficiency in debugging, performance optimization, and memory management - Experience with real-time communication using third-party libraries such as WebRTC - Ability to manage and mentor junior developers Nice-to-Have Skills : - Familiarity with RxJava, Coroutines, and LiveData - Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) - Knowledge of Firebase services (Auth, Firestore, Remote Config, etc.) - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for Android apps - Experience working in agile development and Responsibilities : - Develop, test, and maintain high-performance Android applications - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features - Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security - Ensure best coding practices and contribute to code reviews - Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring application stability and reliability - Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies - Implement real-time communication solutions using libraries like WebRTC - Lead, guide, and mentor junior developers in the team Eligibility Criteria : - Minimum 4 years of experience in Android development - Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Proven track record of successfully developing and launching Android applications - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment (ref:hirist.tech)
