Windchill Tech Lead - PLM Applications

Domain : IT Services & Consulting Position : Windchill Tech Lead Experience : 7 Years Location : Hyderabad or Bangalore We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Windchill Tech Lead to join our dynamic IT Services & Consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the technical aspects of Windchill PLM implementations and development projects for our clients. You will leverage your deep expertise in Windchill configuration, customization, and PLM development to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client business needs. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the growth of our PLM practice. Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of Windchill developers and configuration specialists. - Provide technical direction, guidance, and support to the team throughout the project lifecycle. - Define technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines for Windchill development and configuration. - Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality and maintainability of deliverables. - Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. - Design and implement complex Windchill configurations to meet specific client requirements. - Develop and implement Windchill customizations using Java, Info-Engine, Webjects, and other relevant technologies. - Configure and manage Windchill security models, workflows, lifecycle states, and data models. - Perform data migrations, upgrades, and system integrations related to Windchill. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windchill configuration and customization. - Understand client business processes and translate them into effective PLM solutions within Windchill. - Participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients. - Design and develop PLM applications and integrations based on Windchill. - Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of Windchill solutions. - Support the deployment and go-live of Windchill Serve as a technical point of contact for client stakeholders regarding Windchill solutions. - Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Participate in client meetings and presentations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with client technical teams. - Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk management activities. - Monitor and track technical progress and ensure timely delivery of tasks. - Identify and escalate potential technical risks and issues. - Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Windchill versions, features, and best practices. - Explore and evaluate new technologies and tools related to PLM and Windchill. - Contribute to the development of internal knowledge assets and training materials. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within our PLM practice. - Experience in developing and deploying applications using the ThingWorx platform, particularly in integration with Windchill. - Understanding of IoT concepts and their application within a PLM context. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications : - 7 years of hands-on experience in Windchill configuration, customization, and PLM development. - Strong expertise in Windchill configuration (e.g., workflows, lifecycles, data model, access control). - Proven experience in Windchill customization using Java, Info-Engine, Webjects, and other relevant technologies. - Solid understanding of PLM concepts and processes (e.g., change management, document management, BOM management). - Familiarity with database concepts and SQL. - Experience with Windchill integrations (e.g., ERP, CAD). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Bachelors degree in Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology). - MBA degree is preferred but not mandatory. - Experience with ThingWorx platform and application development. - Knowledge of other PLM systems. - Experience with Agile methodologies. - Familiarity with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript). - Experience with Windchill APIs and web services. - Certifications in Windchill or related technologies.
