Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing

Responsibilities : Test Automation Development : - Designed, developed, and maintained test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and backend applications. Write and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress. Quality Assurance : - Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across different platforms and environments. Analyze test results and collaborate with developers to resolve defects. CI/CD Integration : - Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins. Collaboration : - Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards and best practices. Reporting and Metrics : - Report test progress, defects, and other quality metrics to stakeholders. Contribute to root cause analysis and drive improvements to the testing : - 3-5 years of experience in software testing and automation. - Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. - Hands-on experience with automation tools (e. g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright). - Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured. - Experience with version control systems (e. g., Git). - Familiarity with performance testing tools (e. g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus. - Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience in testing microservices-based architectures. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - A proactive mindset for identifying opportunities to improve processes and tools. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
