As a leading outsourcing partners, we are hiring a SQL Developer to work on a project for our client, which is the largest provider of telecoms and mobile money services in 14 countries spanning Sub-Saharan, Central, and Western Africa. Job Details : Experience : Required Minimum 4 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries. Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Computer science or Information Technology. Location : Gurugram (WFO). Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days (Candidates with a notice period of less than 30 days are preferred). Mandatory Skills : - RDBMS : Solid understanding of relational database management systems concepts. - Structured Query Language (SQL) : Extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries. - Hive Tables and Querying : Proven ability to work with Hive tables and perform data retrieval using HiveQL. - Big Data Ecosystem : Familiarity with the Big Data ecosystem and related technologies. Required Skills : - SQL and Database Concepts : Strong proficiency in SQL (including DDL and DML) and database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and data integrity. - Hive and Big Data : Good experience working with Hive tables and querying within a Big Data ecosystem for efficient data retrieval. - Database Development Tools : Experience with database development tools and technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc. - Performance Tuning and Query Optimization : Familiarity with techniques for optimizing database performance and query execution. - Data Modeling and Database Design : Knowledge of data modeling principles and database design : - Database Design and Development : Designing, developing, and maintaining databases to support business requirements. - Complex SQL Queries : Writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation on RDBMS and within the Big Data ecosystem (specifically Hive). - Performance Optimization : Optimizing database performance by analyzing and improving query execution plans, indexing strategies, and database configurations. - Reporting Deliverables : Building appropriate and useful reporting deliverables to provide insights to stakeholders. - Query Analysis : Analyzing existing SQL queries to identify opportunities for performance improvements. - Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, including data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and errors. - Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to gather requirements and implement effective database solutions. - Documentation : Creating and maintaining comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries, schema diagrams, and query documentation. - Security : Implementing and maintaining database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security policies. Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology. Experience : Minimum 4 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases.
