Job Description
Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and proactive WebLogic Administrator to play a key role in managing and supporting our Oracle WebLogic Server environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of WebLogic domains and the applications deployed within them, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and availability across development, testing, and production landscapes. This is a technical role requiring hands-on expertise in WebLogic administration and related web Responsibilities : Configuration, and Maintenance : - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server software, including various versions (11g, 12c, or newer), on different operating systems. - Perform initial setup and configuration of WebLogic domains, including domain structure, security realms, and basic services. - Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to WebLogic Server instances and associated components. - Configure and manage WebLogic environments for high availability and disaster Deployment and Management : - Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise Java applications packaged as EAR, WAR, and JAR files onto WebLogic Server. - Troubleshoot complex application deployment issues, including classloading problems, dependency conflicts, and configuration errors. - Manage application lifecycle within the WebLogic environment, including starting, stopping, and redeploying and Cluster Management : - Administer and manage WebLogic domains, including the Administration Server and Managed Servers. - Configure and manage WebLogic clusters for load balancing and failover. - Set up and maintain Node Managers for remote administration and server lifecycle management. - Configure and manage Java Data Sources (JMS), JDBC connection pools, and other J2EE Tuning and Optimization : - Monitor the performance of WebLogic Server instances and deployed applications using tools like WebLogic diagnostic framework (WLDF) and admin console monitoring. - Perform performance tuning by adjusting JVM parameters (heap size, garbage collection), thread pool settings, and connection pool configurations. - Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize application response times and server throughput. - Implement caching strategies and other performance enhancement and Incident Resolution : - Diagnose and resolve issues related to WebLogic Server, deployed applications, and the underlying infrastructure. - Analyze server logs, thread dumps, and heap dumps to identify root causes of problems. - Work with development teams and other IT personnel to resolve application and infrastructure issues. - Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to prevent potential Management : - Configure and manage WebLogic security realms, users, groups, and roles. - Implement SSL/TLS configurations and manage digital certificates. - Ensure adherence to security policies and best practices within the WebLogic Technologies and Infrastructure : - Administer and support related web servers such as Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services), including configuration and integration with WebLogic. - Possess administration knowledge of other application servers like Jboss Admin. - Understand networking concepts, firewalls, and load balancers in relation to application server environments. - Work with scripting languages (e.g., WLST, Bash, Python) for automation of administrative Technical Qualifications : - Minimum of [Specify Number, e.g., 3-5] years of hands-on experience as a WebLogic Administrator. - Proven expertise in the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle WebLogic Server (versions 11g, 12c, or newer). - Strong understanding of J2EE architecture and the deployment of EAR, WAR, and JAR files. - Experience in managing WebLogic domains, clusters, Managed Servers, and Node Managers. - Demonstrated ability in performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of WebLogic environments and Java applications. - Familiarity with configuring and managing JDBC data sources, JMS, and other WebLogic services. - Experience with administering and supporting web servers such as Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft IIS. - Knowledge of Jboss Administration is a plus. - Experience with scripting for automation (e.g., WLST, Bash). - Understanding of network concepts, firewalls, and load balancing. - Experience with monitoring tools relevant to application servers. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
