The Role We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Finance & Accounting team. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, with responsibilities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting administration. This role works closely with our Controller and project teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and transactions. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, organized, and experienced in handling high volumes of financial information with accuracy and professionalism. This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. The number of onsite days may vary based on business needs. What You’ll Do Accounts Payable Review, code, and process incoming invoices and employee expense reports. Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts. Ensure proper approvals are obtained and payments are processed according to terms. Prepare check runs, ACH transactions, and wire transfers in line with payment schedules. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and contact details. Reconcile A/P accounts and assist with monthly close. Accounts Receivable Generate and issue customer invoices based on contracts or billing schedules. Record and apply incoming payments via check, ACH, credit card, or wire. Monitor account balances and follow up on past-due payments. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or customer disputes. Maintain customer records and credit details in the accounting system. Assist with A/R aging reports and support cash flow forecasting. Administrative Accounting Enter high volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Ensure proper coding to general ledger accounts. Support the Controller in general financial operations and reporting. Perform routine audits of accounting data for accuracy and completeness. File and maintain both digital and physical financial records. Assist with preparation for audits and other financial reporting needs. What You Bring Associate’s degree in accounting OR a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related administrative/accounting role is required. Commitment to an office-based position with a hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote). Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally to job sites as needed to support project or accounting functions. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables), and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint). Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) preferred. Strong numerical aptitude and excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy. Familiarity with accounting principles and general ledger functions. Professionalism in handling confidential financial data. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. What We Offer Competitive salary and bonus program provided.
