Network Manager - Global IT Infrastructure Glasgow (Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days from home) Full-Time | 37.5 hrs/week | Flexibility required to support global teams Ready to take the lead in shaping the future of global network infrastructure? Excellent opportunity for a high achieving, forward-thinking Network Manager to join a global technology team at a pivotal moment of transformation. This newly created position offers the chance to lead a high-performing, globally distributed team of engineers and be at the forefront of our strategic SD-WAN project rollout. Reporting directly to the Global Infrastructure Leader, you'll be both a technical authority and a people-focused leader, ensuring their network is robust, efficient, and future-ready. Your Role As Network Manager, you will: Drive strategic decisions and technical leadership for our global network infrastructure. Manage a talented team of 8-9 Network Engineers across the UK and global offices. Champion the implementation of SD-WAN to boost resilience and performance. Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver first-class service and support. Balance day-to-day operations with project delivery in a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment. What You'll Bring Focus is not as hands-on on however, you will have a technical background (see below) managing the team, responsible for network, technology choices, and being at the forefront of the SD-WAN project. Core Experience Extensive enterprise networking experience across multi-site LANs/WANs. Strong background in Cisco technologies (Nexus 3K/9K, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Solid understanding of firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPNs, and MPLS . Deep expertise in wireless networking (Aruba), cloud networking , and SD-WAN deployment. Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, F5). Demonstrated experience managing vendors, SLAs, and multi-million-pound budgets. Leadership & Strategy Line management of global teams with proven mentoring ability. Strategic input into vendor negotiations and IT service improvement. Ability to present complex concepts clearly to senior, non-technical audiences. Experience in 24x7 support models blending internal and third-party support. Desirable skills and experience Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE4/7 or similar. Knowledge of Zero Trust , ZTNA , and SASE architectures. Experience in automation/IaC (Ansible, Terraform, Python). Familiarity with GDPR, Cyber Essentials , and ITSM/ITIL environments. Exposure to cloud platforms : Azure, AWS, GCP. Why this role?
