CAD PDK Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a CAD PDK Engineer to join a very well-reputed, successful IC design firm in the UK. This role can be based out of our client’s offices in Oxford, Sheffield or Bristol, (with hybrid working, 2-3 days in the office). In this role the CAD / PDK Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and challenging design projects while diversifying and expanding his / her knowledge. Responsibilities will include: PDK installation, configuration and maintenance Physical IP library installation, configuration and maintenance o Standard cells, IOs, memories etc. CAD tool installation, configuration and maintenance Supporting the IC design engineering teams on day-to-day activities relating to CAD provision Working with IC design engineering teams to develop methodology improvements Direct technical interfacing with external foundries and CAD tool vendors The right candidate will have a sound understanding of IC design tools and process design kits for silicon chip design. Requirements include A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or similar Knowledge of EITHER - Custom IC design flows using Cadence Virtuoso platform OR - Digital IC design flows using Cadence or Synopsys platforms Knowledge of custom and digital design flows Scripting experience in Linux/unix, python, Skill, TCL or other Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this position.
