Finance Manager

Your new company A small not-for-profit company based here in Bristol is looking for a Finance Manager to join the team in a newly created role. Your new role Reporting to the Director of Finance and IT, this is a key role, leading the finance team and helping to support on all things finance. The role will include: Preparation and maintenance of finance processes and controls. Lead on year-end preparations and lead in the production of financial statements. Main point of contact for annual audit queries. Deputise for the Director of Finance where required and manage the operational finance team on a day-to-day basis. Ad hoc assistance on special projects as requested by the Director of Finance alongside the wider senior leadership team. Using initiative to develop procedures, embedding continuous improvement with the finance team. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience who is comfortable managing and leading a small operational finance team. You should have experience of implementing /managing controls and have the ability to lead an annual external audit. You should be proficient in excel to a high standard and, if you have payroll experience, that would be a benefit.
