Job Description
Location: Nelspruit-Mpumalanga Requirements: Professional Registered is non negotiable Qualification in Engineering/ Civil/ Structural/Technologist Minimum of 5 years of experience Experience within consulting firm is highly essential Responsibilities: Design and Analysis: Structural Design: Developing the structural framework of a project, considering factors like load capacity, materials, and environmental conditions. Load and Stress Calculations: Determining the forces and stresses a structure will experience and ensuring it can withstand them. Structural Analysis: Analyzing the behavior of structural elements under various loads and conditions, using software and calculations. Material Selection: Choosing appropriate materials based on strength, durability, cost, and sustainability. 3D Modeling: Creating detailed 3D models of structures using CAD software. Drawings and Specifications: Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for construction. Project Management and Supervision: Project Planning: Developing and managing project timelines and budgets. Construction Supervision: Overseeing the construction process to ensure it adheres to the design and specifications. Collaboration: Working with architects, other engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project success. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them. Site Inspections: Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and design specifications. Documentation: Preparing reports and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Adherence to Regulations and Standards: Safety: Ensuring structures meet safety standards and regulations. Compliance: Adhering to building codes, legal requirements, and health and safety standards. Due Diligence: Checking facts and data to ensure accuracy in designs and specifications. Other Responsibilities: Technical Support: Providing technical advice and support to clients and other professionals. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving structural issues that may arise.
