SAS DEVELOPER

Location: Midrand, Johannesburg Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar SAS Certification At least 5 years as an Application Developer with a focus on SAS programming and data analytics preferably in a banking environment, Deep understanding of SAS Programming and ETL concepts. Practical experience with SAS VI and VA tool functionalities. Experience in Linux for backend OS services management. Knowledge of SAS environment manager for user and environment management. Proficiency in SAS 9.4 tools, SAS Viya tools, BASE SAS, Proc SQL, SAS Macros, and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL). Responsibilities: Innovate: Develop and maintain SAS programs for crime data analysis and EDA. Automate: Create automated jobs for data extraction, analysis, and reporting. Integrate: Design data extraction and transformation routines for SAS integration. Collaborate: Work with the team to integrate data and promote best practices. Secure: Ensure code security and adhere to security frameworks. Document: Maintain documentation of SAS configurations and processes. Analyze: Participate in requirements analysis and feature documentation Test: Define and implement test plans for IT and User Acceptance testing Evolve: Stay updated with emerging technologies. Compliance: Follow policies and processes, produce audit evidence, and remove code vulnerabilities Adhere to Change Management Process and remediate audit findings Cross Role Support: Serve as backup for other developers and ensure effective backup for the SAS role Documentation: Document SAS configurations and assist with training manuals How to apply:
