Roles and Responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The Millwright will ensure all equipment operates at optimal performance and meets safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, assemble, and align machinery and industrial equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in machinery and equipment Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and hydraulic systems Dismantle and relocate machinery as required Fabricate parts as needed using welding and machining tools Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Collaborate with other maintenance and production staff to minimize downtime and maximize productivity Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and ensure machinery is in good working order Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams Requirements: Trade certification as a Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent) Minimum of [3-5] years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy equipment Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and on-call as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PLCs, automation systems, or CNC machinery Additional certifications (e.g., welding, forklift, working at heights) Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software Salary: Market related up to R200 per hour.
