Telco Cloud Architect – 5G Core & Kubernetes Remote from Mexico We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect with strong Kubernetes expertise and a background in Nokia core networks . The ideal candidate will drive the design and deployment of scalable, resilient cloud-native platforms supporting telco-grade services, while working closely with engineering, operations, and product teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, architecture, and optimization of cloud-native infrastructures using Kubernetes and related tools Collaborate with Nokia core network teams to ensure seamless integration of 5G Core components (UDM, AMF, SMF, etc.) with cloud infrastructure Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to automate deployment and management of containerized services Ensure system performance, security, and availability meet carrier-grade standards Integrate observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for full-stack monitoring Define infrastructure requirements for hosting Nokia VNFs/CNFs in private or public cloud environments (e.g., GCP, AWS, or OpenStack) Participate in high-level solution planning, network design reviews, and validation/testing for production readiness Collaborate across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes , Helm , and container orchestration at scale Deep understanding of Nokia Core Network components (e.g., SDL, AMF, SMF, UDM, AUSF) Experience with cloud platforms: GCP , AWS, or private cloud solutions (OpenStack preferred) Solid knowledge of Linux systems , networking, and virtualization Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud-native and telco workloads Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) Preferred Qualifications 8 years in infrastructure architecture or telco cloud environments Prior experience working with Nokia's CloudBand, CBIS/CBAM , or similar orchestration frameworks Exposure to telecom standards and protocols (3GPP, 5GC, LTE, etc.) Background in edge computing or FWA/SD-WAN platforms is a plus We are connectors.
