About the job Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company. The CFD engineer will be a key player in driving the institutionalization of the use of CFD across multiple Daikin business units, in US and Mexico, this is a senior position. The CFD Engineer designs, simulates, interprets, validates and/or proposes thermal, fluid of flow solutions for HVAC units and its elements using CAD & CAE softwares to get accurate & precise design developments. Key contributor in the technical development and mentoring of other CFD practitioners in the team. Proactively engages with multiple business units and technical leaders to expand CFD use for product development, and product optimization. Preprocesses cases of study making 3d modeling and meshing using CAD software for having a proper solver run for CFD simulations. Runs simulations of Physical/Thermal phenomenon to get problems solutions using a CAE software to reduce the number of physical experiments on prototypes. Interprets and evaluates information coming out from the simulation process to determine the reasonability of results. Proposes design changes after running optimization process to get precise & accurate designs that meet technical & functional requirements. Creates & presents accurate simulation reports to a development team for design discussions. Collaborates with Testing team verifying the item performance to close the loop of result validation. Provide technical support & training to engineers with less experience to help them to increase their knowledge and problems solving Qualifications: Experience leading CFD adoption is a must, experience leading a technical CFD team preferred. Bachelor Degree Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering. Material Science Advanced English Language (Conversational/Technical/Written) Solid knowledge CFD analysis with commercial tools such as Ansys Fluent (Nice to have: Simscale, Xflow, Comsol, Abaqus CFD) Proved experience in applying CFD for solving transport phenomena in industrial applications (Fluid Flow, Heat Transfer, Multiphase, and/or Species transport) Solid knowledge in applied heat transfer, flow of fluids, thermal design, thermodynamics.
