New Product Introduction Engineer

Our Volex de México - Tijuana Site , Leading company in the region since September 1993, dedicated to manufacturing, assembly, construction design, marketing, import, export and everything related to electronic circuits, electrical conduction cables, parts or components electrical appliances or computers, medical diagnostic equipment or other applications. Based on the growth plans, it is being incorporated to produce harnesses and connectors with application in the automotive sector, which represents a great opportunity for success for the plant and all of us who make up the Volex team. We are looking for a NEW PRODUCTS INTRODUCTION ENGINEER for our Tijuana Site Core Areas: The NPI engineer will take part in all aspects of the product lifecycle from development to manufacturing and will be a key person in moving the company production capabilities forward. Responsibilities Define process specifications for new products. • Establish efficient manufacturing routes. Determine and select the appropriate equipment for production processes. Develop, qualify and implement manufacturing processes. Estimate product costs. Participate in meetings with clients to understand their needs. Prepare technical and progress reports for clients. Ensure that products comply with applicable standards and regulations. Lead work teams for the development of new products. Qualifications Language: Advanced English reading and writing skills, with the ability to make presentations and participate in negotiations. Experience in the manufacture of cables and harnesses. Professional degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or similar). Experience in project management and administration. Handling of tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD, Visio, SolidWorks or similar. Knowledge of ERP systems. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and work teams. Resilience to change and ability to adapt to dynamic environments. Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485. Experience in advanced product quality planning (APQP). Knowledge of statistics applied to manufacturing and quality control.
