Further information can be found at ICU Medical’s website: http://www.icumed.com/ Responsibilities Drive successful product and process validations for injection molding components associated with process or product changes. Assure compliance of dimensional and functional specifications for injection molding components or sub-assemblies for product manufacturability in the final assembly. Review manufacturing processes to assure a well product flow through the production lines. Implement process modifications as needed. Identify, develop and manage engineering projects/programs as process & cost improvement, product lines transfer and facility modifications. Actively participate in continuous improvement, customer complaints, new product introduction projects. Manufacturing processes implementation, validation, sustainability and end of life. Manufacturing processes and equipment replacement or upgrade. Addresing Non Conformances related to process, products and its procedures. Creation of systems, procedures and different standards to support the manufacturability of the products. Implementation of BOM, routings and Item/FG attributes assuring all the proper information into Agile and oracle systems. Implementation of lean tools, material flow and line balancing to improve efficiency. Implementation of statistical tools and root cause analysis to improve Scrap. Generate a razonable Capital Expenditure submission to purchase equipment or equipment refurbishment. Actively participate in implementation of NPI, Capacity expansion, and transference projects. To meassure and improve equipment performance based on down time and equipment health matrix. Read and interpret equipment blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Able to work effectively across all levels of the organization. Develop close working relationships with, and collaborate with, personnel at other ICU Medical locations especially where a regular exchange of information is required. Strive to deliver required aspects of each assigned project to planned time, cost and quality targets, monitoring progress and taking necessary action either to meet established targets or agree new targets. Effectively contribute to projects when assigned as a member of the project team. Strong contribution on VIP program (Value Improvement Projects). Molding Process Engineers are key contacts between the operations and external teams such as R&D, AME,DA and RA, they will provide objective information and advise to the engineering manager with the purpose of making decisions on time and drive results. Lead engineering changes among all different internal an external departmements Participate in training courses and programs for the different areas (HSE, Quality, etc.). Update and improve site and corporate procedures. Engage others, promote, and participate in EHS, focusing on continuous improvement. This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes. Promote and participate in 5s and OPEX initiatives to contribute to the continuous improvement of our site Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 5 - 7 years in molding injection environment. Experience in Medical manufacturing is a plus. Technical Knowledge and Skills: Must have experience in statistical process control or statistical analysis. Experience in product and/or process manufacturing or development. Development of engineering projects (Process improvement, Transfers, etc.) Molding injection Process. Lean tools proven experience Abilities Teamwork. Able to drive results and influence/leading people. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate (office, project management, etc.) Planning and Decision Making: Plan and execute process and product validations. Process control development/maintenance. Plan and execute engineering projects within defined time frames.
