Job Title: Master Production Planner. Job Location: Apodaca, N.L., Mexico (on-site), flexible time available, trusted employee. Objective: Ensure material availability to meet production, market, and service level demands. Optimize stock levels to reduce costs, ensure healthy cash flow, and avoid customer delay penalties. KPIs: Customer Service Level (CSL) Production Attainment Inventory Target (DOH & $) Savings Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, or a related field. Certification in supply chain and inventory management, such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Demonstrable training. Significant experience working in a materials planning role, including people management and budgeting. Experience developing and managing supplier relationships (5 years). Knowledge of lean techniques. Skills: Strong proficiency in database management and/or relevant enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (SAP). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively handle supplier interactions and manage internal communications. Advanced English. Responsibilities: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvement by maintaining accurate material schedules to ensure the right materials are on-site at the right time. Ensure that professional and consistent materials planning processes are applied across the business. Coordinate with other departments to forecast material needs based on production schedules and orders. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and material protection. Implement sustainability initiatives in material handling and usage. Input and hold responsibility for Material Planning budgets. Monitor material levels to ensure optimal financial and operational stock is maintained. Manage inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place. Oversee the obsolete parts process to minimize business liability and waste. Drive process improvements. Manage cost issues and formulate cost-reduction strategies. Strategically coordinate materials needed for production or service delivery. Liaise with suppliers and manage relationships to negotiate optimal terms of service. Ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and best practices. Ensure that any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system in place is effective, with accurate and up-to-date data, and resolve any issues as required. Review and approve purchase orders. Conduct demand analysis. Ensure strategic and operational information, reports, and metrics are available to share with others in the business as required.
