Roles and Responsibility : The mainframes application development team is responsible for developing and deploying the mainframes services ( Soap / Rest) and JCL batches for insurance application in coordination with the stakeholders. The team also functions as a support team for the warranty period for the developed applications. The Mainframe Application developer is responsible for developing the mainframes services for the insurance application with general domain expertise on mainframe programming languages (PL1, JCL, Rexx) and middleware (CICS, DB2, IMS). This is an exciting opportunity as we are in the midst of a modernization effort on the mainframe and there are various ongoing projects/POCs where you can make a large impact on our overall enterprise architecture. You’ll collaborate closely with customers who provided the requirement and infrastructure teams in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard. Desired Skills : Develop the mainframes services using PL1 programming and JCLs for the insurance application with general domain expertise on mainframe programming and middelware (PL1, JCL, Rexx, CICS, DB2, IMS). Provide warranty support on the deployed changes to ensure the delivered code is working on production as expected for the end users. Connect with the customers regularly on the requirements gathering and milestone achievement on the development activities. Provide release supports for the deployment of the developed application.
