It's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly changing world This position is located in Camargo Chihuahua Essential Functions Develop Localization Strategy, align with Commodity Managers and Business Units to determine strategic fit of potential suppliers. Actively seek out for new suppliers and technologies in the local Mexican market that will support Leviton’s Chihuahua manufacturing plants. Drive and be accountable for On Time project implementation, meting or improving cost, quality, lead time, localization, and delivery expectations. Align with existing strategic supplier partners, where possible, to leverage more local Mexican content and drive competitive advantage. Lead the project management of integrating components into new and existing suppliers following the pre-scribed Leviton gated introduction process, interacting internally with cross functional teams and Business Units Leaders. Frequently communicate status and updates for current and potential new projects to manufacturing plants within North America, sourcing group and Leviton’s leadership. Assist in quality deliverables by adding a new supplier or part to an existing supplier. Key point of contact for Sourcing related activities for Mexico region. Translate both in English and Spanish, as necessary, to facilitate clear communication from suppliers to other functions and the sourcing team. Required Skills/Abilities Bilingual (English – Spanish) Must be creative, resourceful, able to think independently, be attentive to detail and consistency, and be highly organized. Strong leadership and influential ability. Must have the ability to multi-task and work autonomously with limited supervision. Must possess strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and oral) needed to present to Leviton’s Leadership and work with various contacts within and outside the organization. Demonstrated experience on Strategic Sourcing, supplier negotiations and supplier relationship management. Must have strong analytical, planning and critical Strategic thinking skills. Good business acumen with the ability to understand industry dynamics, commodity markets, the competitive environment and customer business drivers. Able to communicate specifications and read blueprints. Computer skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a good working knowledge of the local Mexican supply base Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related fields. 5 years’ related experience with Strategic Sourcing or Purchasing. Proven project management experience working in a multi-national company Travel Travel will not be more than 40% with most of the travel in Mexico but occasionally travel to the US will be needed - Valid Visa and Passport The future looks brighter than ever.
