Senior Accountant

BlueGrace Logistics is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Guadalajara, Mexico . This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance with Mexican tax regulations, and ensuring accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Mexican (NIF) and US GAAP, tax compliance, and financial analysis, along with proficiency in ERP systems. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Mexican (NIF) and US GAAP . Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (ISR, IVA, IMSS, INFONAVIT, etc.). Assist with audits and ensure financial data accuracy. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversee monthly and annual tax filings (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT). Ensure proper VAT (IVA) and payroll tax calculations. Stay updated on changes in Mexican tax laws and financial regulations. General Accounting & Controls Maintain general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and journal entries. Conduct monthly bank and account reconciliations . Record and reconcile intercompany transactions. Oversee payroll accounting and ensure compliance with labor regulations. Adhere to corporate accounting close timelines. Budgeting & Financial Analysis Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts . Forecast, monitor and track cash flow and ensure adequate funds are available. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management. Process Improvement & Internal Controls Identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial processes. Ensure proper internal controls are in place and followed. Team Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with finance teams, auditors, and external consultants. Prepare financial reports for management and headquarters as needed. Payroll Be a backup for payroll using Celergo (ADP) Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or large Mexican company. Strong knowledge of Mexican (NIF) and US GAAP, SAT regulations, and IFRS . Experience with ERP systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Bilingual: Spanish & English Preferred Qualifications: CPA (Contador Público Certificado) or equivalent certification. Knowledge of Certina/SalesForce ERP
