Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for complete supervision and operation of the Welding Area. You will direct activities of all personnel within assigned area. Role & Responsibility Personnel Management Assure all team members/associates comply with 5S´s Standards, PPE and Safety Standards from the beginning to end of the shift. Approve overtime on an as needed basis. Direct and train manpower to meet production schedules, while attaining an efficient hour by hour records with actions taken to assure compliance to targets and maintaining and improving overall quality of the product. Maintain a good working knowledge of company policies and regulations in order to administer discipline of employees within Weld Department, in accordance with progressive discipline procedures. Key Performance Indicator(s): Safety, Quality, Delivery (Meet production schedules every hour), Cost and Morale. Department Administration Arrange for maintenance of machines, equipment and facilities in Welding department. May estimate, requisition, and inspect materials coming into the department. Responsible for keeping department costs within budgetary limits, i.e. scrap, overtime, rework and consumable items. Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping, performing daily and weekly safety audits and monthly safety meetings, to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Responsible for reporting all shift main events related to: Safety, Quality, Delivery (Meet production schedules every hour), Cost and Morale. Manage daily associates attendance and job assignments Use Problem Solving Technics to improve KPIs performance KPIs: Budget management. Maintenance/safety scheduling. Labor Relations Interpret the “Contrato Colectivo de trabajo” agreement and attempt to resolve employee issues and/or grievances. KPIs: Resolution of grievances/issues. Continuous Improvement Efforts Within area of supervision, make recommendations for continuous improvement, utilizing the QCI program to reduce costs of our product, while meeting and exceeding customer expectations in quality. Maintain a collaborative working environment with all other PCL’s and departments. KPIs: Cost reductions. Customer satisfaction. Job Requirement Industrial Engineering Degree, Mechanical Engineer Degree, or similar engineering Degree. Engineer Degree Certificate and “Cedula” are required. 2 years' experience on Welding Area Languages: Professional Spanish and English Fluent Leadership capability. Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point Basic skills. Ability to follow written instructions. Must be Flexible to work any shift. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
