Automotive Engine Bracket Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) to join our team in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for Covers, Pans & Brackets, and Busbars within engine development programs. The role involves overseeing the design, development, validation, and release of components, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Design and release of engine covers, pans, brackets, and busbars . Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, manufacturing, and testing teams, to ensure component feasibility and performance. Support validation and durability testing, ensuring components meet regulatory and quality standards. Work with CAD designers to develop and optimize designs for manufacturability and performance. Monitor and manage engineering changes, BOMs, and release documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues to support production and launch activities. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, including PCMP/PENG guidelines. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field . Familiarity with powertrain systems , especially Covers, Pans, Brackets, and Busbars . Experience with CAD tools (Catia, NX, or similar) and PLM systems . Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T . Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in automotive engine design and release . Understanding of powertrain validation and testing procedures . Prior experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers .
