Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team within a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. This role will focus on supporting and improving our CNC machining, thermoforming, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will drive process optimization, ensure high-quality standards, and support new product introductions while leading a team of engineers and technicians. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (process, manufacturing, and project engineers). Oversee and improve manufacturing processes related to CNC machining, thermoforming, and product assembly . Drive process optimization initiatives to improve cycle time, reduce scrap, and enhance overall efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain) to support daily operations and resolve technical issues. Support new product launches and engineering changes, ensuring smooth integration into production. Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for process-related problems. Ensure equipment, tooling, and fixtures meet production and quality requirements. Establish and maintain process documentation, standard work, and PFMEAs. Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma). Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.). Participate in capital projects including justification, procurement, and installation of equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry . 3 years of proven leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong technical expertise in CNC machining, thermoforming, and assembly processes . Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in CAD software and manufacturing-related tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP systems). Strong problem-solving and project management skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
