Clerk of Works (EC&I)

Job Title: Clerk of Works (EC&I) Location: South Africa, Nkangala District, Middelburg Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Appropriate qualification in Civil or Instrumentation Engineering (NQF Level 6) Safety course: A3 Safety Leadership Programme A qualification in project management would be an advantage Experience: Extensive experience as a Foreman in the construction or mining industry Experience in implementation related projects would be advantageous Experience in the coal mining industry would be advantageous Knowledge and Skills: A good knowledge of legislation relating to the mining industry. E.g. Mine health and safety act, Environmental legislation including the Occupational, Health and Safety Act In depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical or civil engineering processes and practices, as well as within the construction discipline An understanding of contracting principles Knowledge of project management packages such as Microsoft Project Working knowledge with of the discipline specific principles Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings Communications skills (written and verbal) Report writing skills Decision making skills Budget and financial skills Interpersonal skills Project management skills Stakeholder management Analytical skills Problem Solving skills Computer Literacy (MS Office)
