Site Reliability Engineer – Security Focus Location: Remote Department: Site Reliability Engineering Type: Full-Time Overview We’re looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in infrastructure security to join our team. This role is not just about uptime—it’s about building secure, robust, and auditable systems across both cloud and on-premise environments. You’ll lead initiatives that harden our systems, automate security into infrastructure workflows, and embed security into the core of our operations. This is a senior, hands-on role—ideal for someone who thinks like a security engineer but operates like an SRE, with broad systems knowledge and a strong automation mindset. ️ What You’ll Do Infrastructure & Security Hardening Design and operate highly available, secure infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments (primarily Linux-based). Lead hardening efforts for Kubernetes, bare-metal servers, VMs, IAM, and internal network infrastructure. Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and architecture reviews to proactively identify and close security gaps. Security Automation & Compliance Automate everything—configuration management, compliance reporting, detection logic, and remediation workflows using tools like Ansible and Terraform. Build and maintain security automation across hybrid environments (cloud and physical). Collaborate on audits and maintain evidence for security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
