Estimating Engineer

Join our dynamic team at ATACO Steel Products Corp, a leader in metal stamping and fabrication. We are seeking an experienced Estimating Engineer to support our growth and ensure precise cost estimation for our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical company data related to work-center capabilities and capacity
• Collect quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Prepare detailed cost estimates utilizing various software and templates
• Plan, hand-off, and delegate awarded new programs as necessary
• Communicate project status to customers effectively
• Develop and maintain accurate procedural documents

Requirements:

• Background in manufacturing or engineering within a metal stamping or fabrication facility preferred
• Experience in cost estimating and using cost estimating software
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
• Familiarity with Infor ERP (Syteline), AutoCAD, and TruTops Calculate laser nesting software a plus.

Schedule:

Full-time position, primarily day shift hours, 4 nine hours days Monday-Thursday, 1/2 day Friday.
