Job Description

Profile Requirements Relevant IT / Business Degree or equivalent Code 08 / EB License Experience 6 10 years experience in a systems development environment in a specialist, supervisor or senior role, of which 5 years should be as a systems analyst in a manufacturing, or complex business environment. Experience in Advanced Delphi programming and SQL(Structured Query Language) Knowledge of Oracle or equivalent databases as well as Web development and mobile app development skills are required. Understanding of Weighbridge operations, Plantation management, Forestry valuation and GIS systems would be advantageous. Key Performance Design, implement and maintain effective programs and initiatives to provide IT solutions for Forestry as well as supporting business processes. Optimize business performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and FORTES, in conjunction with business process owners Undertake complex process analysis, design and proposal creation, which includes technical process problem solving in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment Conduct unit tests, integration tests and develop module functional documentation. Conduct Go-live preparation and Go-live support. Act as the key specialist point of contact in problem solving and investigations related to incidents in the Forestry related arena. Ensure system integration and business continuity by effectively managing projects Engage in liaison with stakeholders such as the Finance department, suppliers, direct line management, etc. to ensure correct system applications and development. Engage with external specialist consultants and other in-house developers for implementing cross functional solutions. Ensure 24/7 uptime of systems within area of responsibility. Provide after-hours support when required. Assist the organization to capitalize on new opportunities, focusing on digitalization, automation, and optimization of resources. Ensure effective management of risk and good corporate governance in the business area. Take ownership of change in own section, remove obstacles and obtain buy-in. Build and maintain sound relationships and a network of contacts in pursuit of organizational goals. Ensure legal compliance in area of responsibility. Ensure best practices (expressed through practices, managing change, benchmarking, implementing, refining and improving practices). Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that create value to the business. Continuously analyze, develop and re-engineer processes to ensure quality outputs and optimal departmental processes.
