Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a key player in the printing and packaging industry, recognized for its exceptional service standards and its focus on innovative, sustainable solutions. The Costing & Invoicing Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial transactions related to production costs and client invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both company policies and regulatory standards. This role entails managing a team of clerks and analysts, refining costing and invoicing processes, validating financial data, and analyzing performance metrics to drive operational efficiencies and financial integrity. The manager plays a critical role in strategic decision-making by providing key financial insights that support sustainable growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Direct and develop a team comprised of Costing & Invoicing Clerks and Commercial Analysts. Evaluate team structure and skills regularly, implementing strategies to align with business objectives. Lead by example, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Costing Analysis and Validation: Manage the full spectrum of costing activities from initial job estimation to final invoicing. Ensure all costs including materials, labor, and overheads are accurately captured and validated. Regularly review costing processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures. Invoicing Coordination and Compliance: Oversee the invoicing function to ensure that all financial transactions are executed promptly and accurately, in compliance with agreed-upon terms and tax regulations. Work closely with sales and production teams to streamline invoicing processes and cut-off times. Credit and Financial Integrity Management: Investigate credit note issues to validate their accuracy and compliance with policies. Develop and enforce a robust framework for managing no-charge work tickets, ensuring they are justified and closed timely. Operational and Strategic Financial Analysis: Play a strategic role in financial auditing and budget forecasting processes. Analyze production performance and customer profitability to inform strategic decision-making and support sustainable business growth. Regulatory Compliance and Training: Ensure that all costing and invoicing activities are compliant with local and international financial reporting standards. Provide ongoing training to team members to maintain high standards of financial integrity and knowledge. Requirements: Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting/finance related fields Minimum 5 years' experience roles within the printing, packaging, or related manufacturing industries. POP/POS (Point of Purchase/Sale) experience highly advantageous Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in managing and developing teams. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to managing projects and tasks. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with SQL databases. Standard Working Hours however flexibility required in this role.
