Job Description
Our client in the Agriculture Industry, requires the services an experienced Packhouse Manager who will be responsible for the management and operation of a Packhouse. Key performance areas: Manage and lead the management team in a manner that fosters high performance and collaboration Manage operational systems to ensure data accuracy and availability of information Oversee and monitor that the Bin and Pallet warehousing and logistics operations are effectively implemented according to the supply and storage plans Work closely with HR and management team to create an empowered and engaging work environment for the ±550 employees which supports good labour relations Minimize business risk by ensuring the site complies with the necessary health and safety and food safety standards Manage and control that the Pre-sorting and Packing operations performs to the required throughput, efficiency and quality standards that delivers to the business unit KPI's Compile and control the operational expenditure budget and ensure effective cost and waste management The successful candidate must have: Matric with a tertiary qualification in Operations / Production / Business Management / Industrial Engineering or similar At least 8 years managerial experience in an Organised Labour Environment At least 5 years experience in the Packing Industry Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of systems (MS Office Outlook, Word & Excel) Must have good analytical skills Must have leadership abilities in order to grow and develop a team of Managers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
