MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced MAINTENANCE FOREMAN for a well-established international concern position based along the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg (towards Durban). JOB DESCRIPTION Grade 12. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. Trade tested Fitter and Turner / mechanical qualification / trade certificate. Valid Code 08 drivers license / forklift license (strong advantage). Previous mechanical experience. Duties include ensuring maximum utilization of production equipment through preventative and reactive maintenance and to ensure that the entire plant is maintained in order for the downtime to be minimized and the quality of the feed is guaranteed. Person must be able to weld and do some rigging, sound knowledge of electrical systems and should have the ability to trouble shoot within branch. 5yrs previous working experience in a senior maintenance role in a manufacturing environment. Experience maintaining a mechanically operated plant. Knowledge of boilers and hydraulics. Supervision of staff. Training and development of staff. Maintenance scheduling. Implement and manage projects. Ensure adherence to health, safety and environment regulations and guidelines at all times. Scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the plant.
