Audio Specialist - Tokai, Cape Town Market-related salary Monday to Friday 8h30 to 16h30 - Contract 3 to 6 months My client is seeking an Audio Specialist to join their team for a private project. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional audio editing skills, particularly in cleaning up low-quality audio recordings. This role requires acute hearing abilities and proficiency in Adobe Audition. Candidates will undergo a technical test to assess their suitability for the position. Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze audio recordings of varying quality to identify and address issues such as background noise, distortion, and poor clarity. Utilize Adobe Audition and other audio editing tools to enhance and clean up audio files, ensuring optimal sound quality. Apply noise reduction, equalization, compression, and other audio processing techniques to improve the intelligibility and overall quality of recordings. Work closely with the client to understand project requirements and deliver audio files that meet their specifications and expectations. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) when handling sensitive audio content. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and precision in audio editing tasks, consistently delivering high-quality results. Communicate effectively with team members, providing progress updates and seeking clarification on project requirements when necessary. Qualifications: Proven experience working as an Audio Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in audio editing and restoration. Exceptional hearing abilities, with the capability to discern subtle nuances and details in audio recordings. Proficiency in Adobe Audition or similar digital audio workstation (DAW) software, with a deep understanding of its features and tools. Strong technical skills in audio processing techniques such as noise reduction, equalization, and dynamics processing. Ability to work efficiently and confidently under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work quality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with audio file formats and standards for different media platforms and delivery methods. Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and adhere to strict confidentiality protocols when handling private audio content. Previous experience working on private projects or handling sensitive audio content. Familiarity with forensic audio analysis techniques and tools. Knowledge of audio restoration plugins and software applications. Certification or training in audio engineering, sound design, or related fields.
