Production Supervisor

Requirements: 10 years of experience in a production environment. Diploma / NQF level 5 in Production Management / Industrial Engineering. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Evaluates operational workflows and procedures to improve job processes on an ongoing basis. Ensures optimization of resources with respect to current workloads. Ensures maintenance and optimal usage of resources and recommends additions or replacement of resources. Monitors and ensures that all resources conform to guidelines. Ensures fast and timeous delivery of parts to customers according to schedule. Ensures optimization of machinery to maximize capacity utilization. Manages and ensures effective and efficient maintenance of production processes. Reports production statistics, productivity etc. to the General manager on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Ensures that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity. Responsible for planning of the day-to-day operations. Inspects facility and equipment to determine need and extend of service, equipment required, type of equipment required, and production staff required. Optimizes resources to control and reduce costs. Coordinating with other departments, such as HR, Sales and Purchasing, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
