IT Project Manager

Job Title: IT Project Manager Location: City of Cape Town, Cape Town, Woodstock Job Type: 12 month Contract, expected to work full-time hours Job Duties: Plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals Draught and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary Track project milestones and deliverables Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans Required Qualifications: Project management qualification or certification MBA Education: Relevant degree in IT or related field Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the IT industry Knowledge and Skills: Structured approach to project management Diplomatic communication style Detail-oriented with an eye for accuracy Ability to build strong relationships with executives and senior line managers Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, JIRA, and Trello Preferred Qualifications: Additional project management certifications Experience in Agile methodology Working Conditions: This role is based in Cape Town, South Africa. The IT Project Manager is expected to work full-time hours on a contract basis. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or stakeholder engagements.
