Job Description

What will you do?

  • Implement product engineering initiatives efficiently, under corporate policies, procedures and specifications, to produce within the parameters of quality and target cost.

  • Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on the production line.

  • Collaborates with all departments of the plant to find the root cause and solution of problems related to design, quality, suppliers, product or process.

How will you do it?

  • Implement new HVAC product designs and improve existing ones

  • Create and update 3D assemblies.

  • Create global engineering change requests.

  • Work in team with fabrication areas to improve scrap material due to design opportunities.

  • Evaluate design opportunities for cost-reduction projects.

  • Design of mechanical 3D models, piping, sheet metal, assemblies, boms

  • Interact with Product Engineering, Mechanical Design to understand system interactions and constraints, provide guidance and feedback

  • Maintenance of engineering drawings and product specifications.

  • Creates and checks final drawings/models to verify the completeness, clarity, and accuracy of drawings for intermediate-level products.

  • Work with the global design team to resolve design related issues.

  • Assists in product launches and gathering information for the product development process.

  • Propose, evaluate and implement product improvements.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Engineer, working with HVAC/ refrigeration (desirable)

  • English strong written and oral communication skills (highly required)

  • 3D cad PTC Creo or other 3D model software

  • CAD modeling experience.

  • Mechanical design knowledge

  • Interpretation of engineering specifications for mechanical and pressure components.

  • Capable of developing basic tolerance stack-ups and has good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • SAP operational knowledge.

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks under a pressure environment.

  • Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.

  • Experience working in a team environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word..
