Senior Graphic Designer

At Kontra Signs we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We're looking for a talented senior graphic designer with previous experience in the signage industry who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process; from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. Excellent communication skills with strong email etiquette Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills Obtain input from sales representatives and managers to ensure that designs meet the clients standards and brand expectations. Well organised individual who is able to work on a wide range of projects simultaneously Execute all instructions in a timely manner Good with colour matching and the ability to understand technical drawings and the requirements related to it Develop print-ready artwork for production to assemble and finalise product Knowledge on how a CNC/Router Machine operates for design setup to be incorporated efficiently Understanding of a workflow program Knowledge of signage materials, handling and fixture methods Work independently as well as cooperatively with the design team to meet project deadlines Management duties will include but not limited to; Support function to designers Distribution and scheduling of jobs Set up, update and implementation of policies & procedures for the design office Update and maintain internal databases for designs, branding and marketing documentation Examine existing processes, identify flaws and create solutions that improve design capabilities Weekly reporting to management
