SASA- Trade Test Officer - Diesel Mechanic/Automotive Motor Mechanic (Contract) T he South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a contract vacancy for a Trade Test Officer - Diesel Mechanic / Automotive Motor Mechanic, based in Mount Edgecombe , Kwa-Zulu Natal. The Shukela Training Centre (STC) is a well-regarded training institution established about 50 years. The STC delivers high agricultural and quality engineering training to learners in the sugar industry and other industries within and outside South Africa's borders. Shukela Training Centre has a contract employment opportunity for an experienced Trade Test Officer - Diesel Mechanic/Automotive Motor Mechanic, reporting to the Technical Training Manager . The successful incumbent will be responsible for conducting trade tests to aspiring artisans. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring that the trade test Centre is clean and conducive to conduct trade test Monitor, assess and moderate trade tests Prepare and complete all trade test documentation as per NAMB requirements Ensure all machinery are in safe working condition Induction of candidates to the trade test Complying and ensuring compliance to the requirements of the OHS Act and STC Safety Standards Ensure all consumables are available for trade test Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience: In possession of a National Trade test Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic and Automotive Motor Mechanic Registered NAMB Assessor and Moderator will be advantageous Generic Assessor and Moderator Certificate Effective communication skills in English are essential Computer literacy in MS Office SASA follows a comprehensive recruitment process that includes the formal assessment of cognitive abilities and preferred behavioural styles.
