Job Description

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (NQF 7) Up to 5 years experience in Production / Operations / Process Engineering in a Manufacturing environment. Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; SAP, ERP Systems and job-specific software systems). Knowledge of Production, Process Engineering, Operational processes and related systems. PLC, HMI and Control Systems. Embedded Devices (Microcontroller, microprocessors). Programming (C/C++, C#, Python). Electronic Designing (Multisim, Ultiboard, MatLab). Databases and networking (SQL). Duties: Researches new technical solutions (Electronic, Embedded). Researches possibilities of prosed technologies (Electronic, Embedded). Develops prototypes for testing and researched solutions. Designs and programs embedded systems for developments. Executes costing and BOMs development projects. Manages R & D projects. Designs solution to various projects Designs electrical and control systems; electronic and schematics for projects Designs and programs PLCs and computer applications for projects. Executes costing and BOMs for projects. Manages projects Assist on breakdowns regarding PLC, electronic and embedded systems. Debug and fix electronic PCB boards Performs feasibility studies on all aspects relating to processes and equipment. Performs statistical analysis of processes. Keeps abreast with technological developments / advancements in the industry. Assists with process-related problem solving and root cause analysis projects. Develops and updates process-specific checklists. Develop and manage Core Tools for areas responsible for. Update process documentation. Create relevant documentation for new processes. Operates within controls and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of the company. Identifies and monitors risks within own department and area of responsibility. Assists in the maintenance of a risk register, report discrepancies or areas of concern to management. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policy frameworks to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure. Maintains effective working relationships with customers (both internal and external) towards rendering highest quality of services. Represents company in meetings with relevant stakeholders. Identifies and solves problems creatively whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with the company core values. Reports to Management on internal stakeholder related matters. Maintains relationships in accordance with policies, procedures and legal, as well as stakeholder management system requirements. Contributes to the budget preparation process. Promotes and communicates the effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of financial and other resources. Monitors and controls expenditure against budget and ensures spending occurs within budgetary limits and company financial guidelines, report deviations to direct Manager. Explores opportunities to control and reduce costs.
