The Opportunity This is a newly shaped HR Business Partner role, created to provide genuine partnership to Managing Directors and senior operational leaders across key business units. You'll act as a trusted adviser and critical thinker balancing day to day pragmatism with a longer-term, strategic approach as the business scales. Working closely the HR Director, you'll help embed a modern, proactive People function that supports the organisation's continued growth and builds strong, engaged teams across multiple sites and projects. Key Responsibilities Partner with business MDs and senior operational leaders to deliver commercial, people-centred solutions that drive business performance. Lead workforce planning and resourcing strategies to ensure the business attracts, develops and retains the skilled blue-collar and professional talent it needs to meet growth targets. Coach and challenge leaders to build capability and improve leadership effectiveness. Support organisational design, succession planning and talent pipeline development. Advise on employee relations, performance management and engagement, ensuring fair, consistent and pragmatic outcomes. Collaborate with the wider HR team to roll out initiatives across reward, wellbeing, and learning & development. Use data and insight to diagnose issues, track trends and inform decision-making. Champion culture and values, promoting inclusion, respect and continuous improvement across the workforce. About You We're looking for a confident, reflective HR professional who can engage at every level from boardroom to site. Someone who combines intelligence with humility and sound commercial judgement. You'll likely have: Solid HR generalist experience, ideally within construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar operationally intensive environment. Proven credibility partnering with senior leaders, with the confidence to challenge and influence constructively. Strong understanding of resourcing challenges in a blue-collar or project-based context. Excellent problem-solving skills with a thoughtful, analytical approach. A track record of improving people processes and supporting business growth. CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
