Job Description

Role: Principal Systems Engineer Location: Frimley (Hybrid – 3 days on site per week, flexibility depending on project phase) Salary: £57,500 – £61,500 (negotiable for the right candidate) About the Role Join a world-class defence organisation as a Principal Systems Engineer , you’ll lead on technical matters, manage the design baseline, and drive system-level integration within complex combat systems. This is a high-impact position where your expertise will shape mission-critical solutions. What You’ll Do Own and manage the technical baseline for combat systems. Lead technical decisions and ensure robust design governance. Support system-level integration and testing during the delivery phase. Engage with stakeholders across engineering and programme teams. What We’re Looking For Proven systems engineering experience across the full lifecycle (integration, testing, delivery). Strong capability in configuration control and change management . Familiarity with DOORS and requirements management tools. Background in naval, submarine, or combat systems is highly desirable. Exposure to network or software-based systems in a systems engineering context (advantageous). Confident communicator with the ability to lead technical discussions. Why Join Us?
